Cooking Beans in a slow cooker {recipe}


3 Cups of  Beans {for this recipe I chose black beans}
6 Cups of water
1/2 Yellow onion cut into 1" pieces
1/2 Tsp minced garlic
1 Tbsp Chicken Bouillon Powder
2 Dried Bay Leaves
2 Tbsp Salt

1.- Separate beans, place the beans straight from the package on a flat surface and go through all the beans to clean them of rocks or other small bits that may not be beans {it's very common to have tiny rocks mixed in the bean bag}. After you have selected your beans rinse under cool water.

2.- Place all ingredients in your crock-pot or slow cooker and cook for 5 - 8  hours.

That was easy! right???
