What I lost and found again

It's the beginning of a new day, a new week and a new opportunity to jump on the wagon again! It all started the weekend we traveled for my daughters' birthday. I had planned to wear a pedometer while we celebrated at a theme park and I did, I was so proud of myself 14,112 steps taken in a day! In all honesty I was hoping for more, but considering I stood in line one third of the day I'd say I did good. Usually when we go to a theme park it's well known that we snack all through out the day, as if we were in an eating contest.

Ice cream, popcorn, churros, smoothie, cotton candy, candied apple, caramel apples and the list could go on and on. However this time around I had planned ahead and had some fresh fruit with me along with some pretzels and healthy snacks. I was happy that at the end of the day I had kept up with my cinch. Yes I was exhausted as we had traveled and then walked the whole day, but I had done it.

As we returned home I was so tired I couldn't get up to workout, I kept putting it off and then it happened... I lost my focus, I lost my cinchspiration and motivation. My clothes still fit the same as the past couple of weeks, my jeans were a bit looser so I kept allowing distractions. No exercise that entire week and then going a bit over calories {knowingly} add not drinking enough water and it's the perfect combination for feeling depressed, sad, upset of what I was allowing myself to go through.

Luckily my cinchspiration team kept motivating me and reminding me of what I was working for: a healthier me, losing weight and inches and feeling happy with myself. So last Wednesday I decided enough was enough and that morning after our usual routine my toddler and I prepped my bike and his trailer and we rode bike through our neighborhood. We were planing on going to the park and playing "kick ball" but as he fell asleep and decided to take a nap I kept pedaling. Then we picked up Adventure Girl from school and pedaled our way home. In the end I had taken a bike ride that lead up to almost 6 miles in distance!

I felt amazing and empowered and that is the day I found my cinchspiration! The day that finally I got back on track and even though I've had my ups and downs I am going to continue this adventure. I am taking it one day at a time.

This past weekend was emotionally and physically draining we had an unplanned trip out of town, we drove for a little over 10 hours yesterday and even though I felt tired from sitting down I managed to wake up before my alarm went off and was out the door by 6:30 ready and determined to walk on the treadmill for at least 20 minutes. After 42 minutes I realized I had doubled my goal, I felt amazing, happy, cheery and ready to start the day.

Not only that but I am full of energy, today has been my most productive day at home in weeks! Not only was I ready for the day but I already have my to do list of errands done...

I found my cinchspiration and don't plan on losing it again! I honestly don't want to lose it again. I am going to continue feeding it so it will grow even more.

And now for my weight today:

My measurements today are:

Neck: 15"
Chest: 42.5"
Arm: 15"
Waist: 41 3/4"
Hip: 51"
Thigh: 28"

As you can see it stayed exactly the same through out month 4. Before I would've been sad about this, however I took this as a lesson... If you truly want something you will work hard to earn it and reach it, no matter what it is determination and focus is key. Losing weight is not easy, even though I've heard it so much lately. It is not easy! It's hard work, it takes effort and focus along with determination. It takes patience as you will not lose weight magically over night or in a month or 3. It takes knowledge because you have to learn how to work in what you like along with what your body needs without exceeding calories or portions.

If you are on a weight loss plan congratulations for taking a step closer to a healthier, happier, more energetic you. If you are thinking of losing weight, think about what you want to achieve and how you are going to do it. Find a great support system for those days that you fall off the band wagon, so it will be easier to jump back on it again. ;)
